Accommodation in Cusco: family home stay, apartment or hotel

With Mundo Antiguo you can choose between three different types of accommodation:

• a host family
• an apartment
• a hostel or hotel



Obviously you can also combine those options: some people like to stay in a nice hotel for a couple of days after arriving in Cusco, others like to stay for some time with a host family to improve their Spanish but would like to live also for awhile in an apartment. Just ask us for the options!

Family home stay

If you want to practice your Spanish and get a better understanding of Peruvian culture, you can choose to live in a Peruvian host family.
The host families of other language schools are mostly from the (very) wealthy social class. We however, have selected deliberately families from the middle class, so that you get a better idea of every day life in Peru. Furthermore we prefer to help financially those families that can use the money. Perhaps a bit less luxurious (although we obviously have our criterions), but you get a more honest experience in exchange!

In our host families you’ll have your own room, but you’ll live together with the family members. Mostly, they won’t speak English. In that way you’ll be ‘forced’ to practice your Spanish! Normally you’ll eat thrice a day with the family, but of course you have the liberty to go your one way every now and then.

Do you want to live in a family with or without children? Is smoking a problem for you, are you allergic, don’t you like pets in your family, or are you a vegetarian?
Everyone who wants to live in a host family can write us his preferences!

Price:
A week in a host family costs $ 117. Included are breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our own apartment



We own an apartment in a tranquil neighborhood at about 10 minutes walking from Cusco’s main square and 5 minutes from the barrio of San Blas. You can choose to hire the entire apartment or share it with other persons during your stay.

The apartment has two bedrooms, one with two beds, and one with a big bed for a couple. Furthermore it is completely furnished, with a living room with cable-tv, dvd, a dining area, a fully equiped kitchen (dual temperature refrigerator, stove with oven, microwave, etc) and a small, covered patio with washing machine and sufficient space to dry your clothes.


Prices:

• hiring the entire apartment: $ 160 per week
• shared (but with own room): $ 95 per week

hotel

In addition, we can also arrange a hotel for you. As a travel agency we’ve contacts with many hotels in Cusco, in a wide range of prices and luxury. Please inform us about your budget if you would like to stay in a hotel!
