Volunteer work

Many schools and institutions offer Spanish classes in combination with volunteer work, but we think we can offer you a better product than they do. Three ways in which we differ from the other providers.

1. We prepare our volunteers well.
In our special course Spanish and Volunteering you have the opportunity to learn the vocabulary you need – whether you are going to work with street kids, in a hospital or in our construction project. Moreover you get ideas and have to solve standard situations in our practical classes.

2. We search work that matches your capacities.
We do not just place you in a project, but we read your curriculum vitae carefully to search you a volunteer job that fits you. We understand that you want to get something done during the period of your volunteer work. In short: we want you to do an outstanding job!

3. We don’t want to make money out of your wish to help a fellow human being.
Our goal is to give you realistic ideas of the situation in the project and of the work in which your help is needed before the start of your volunteer job. After your arrival in Cusco we invite you for a personal conversation in which we tell you more about the social problems of Peru and the situation in the project of your choice. We’ll answer the questions you might have and advise you about your job. Moreover we visit the project together, to help you out a bit. And if you still have questions after that, you’re always welcome to ask us. For our mediation we ask as sole compensation $ 40.
As far as we know we are the only organisation in Cusco that does not put any conditions for facilitating volunteer work. Normally you are obligated to live in accommodation of the organization or to follow a Spanish course with them - even if you already speak the language well enough.

We don’t stipulate any conditions for facilitating your volunteer work. We would be happy to arrange your accommodation and a Spanish course (or the special course Spanish and Volunteering) with us, but that’s absolutely not an obligation!

Special course Spanish and Volunteering:
- 4 weeks of Spanish, 2 hours of private classes per day
- all free extras that you also get in our standard courses
- special classes to prepare you for your specific work situation

- volunteer work: starting from a minimum of 2 weeks
